A date amid a pandemic
The storm yesterday brought a lot of devastation but left on a note of beauty!
Life for the people affected is going to take a long time to come back to normal. But first, the good news in tough times…
Some of the parks opened in Delhi giving relief to many. However, the timings of 7 to 10 AM and 3.30 to 6.30 PM are simply terrible for the summer. Who can go out at 3.30 in the afternoon without risking heat stroke! 7 AM in the morning is way too hot too, in my opinion, but there is a 7 PM to 7 AM curfew… Still, something is better than nothing and I am glad for the parks. Sitting in the parks is not allowed and it is the people’s own responsibility to maintain social distance.

Even though the total cases are going up, Delhi’s recovery rate from Covid-19 is up at 45%. After three new highs, Delhi again recorded another high of 660 cases in a day. In spite of the central government’s orders to allow inter state movement, the Delhi-Noida-Gurugram borders remain closed except for essential services and special pass holders. It seems like nobody wants to mingle with Delhi if they can avoid it!

According to another study, the novel coronavirus can infect and replicate in cells that line the inside of the human intestines. This could explain why some patients with COVID-19 experience gastrointestinal symptoms.
Now, something we all want to know in the summer… Can Ice-cream spread coronavirus? No, not if it is hygienically made.
